2026 Funding Recipients:

On February 17th, the Shawano Area United Way Board of Directors met to vote on funding allocations forGathered representatives from the organizations receiving United Way funding in 2026 this year's nonprofit organizations. We received 19 requests for a total of $103,000. Thanks to our communities' generosity, we had $42,000 of funds to distribute which was split between 14 organizations! Our process involved looking at the stated objective of each program/organization, comparing it to our stated mission as an organization, thinking through community need and impact, and then having verbal discussion prior to voting on the complete allocation amounts. Agency names in red are hyperlinked to their websites or Facebook page for you to learn more about them!
