On May 7th, 2025, the Snuggled with a Hug Diaper Bank program presented to 100+ Women Who Care of Shawano County! Elaine Krohn and Jade Velicer, Diaper Bank co-coordinators and United Way Board Members, and Uriah Williams, our Executive Director, presented about what diaper need is, how our Diaper Bank functions, and ways we would benefit from the 100+ Women's support! Elaine took lead on the presentation while Uriah and Jade helped with the question-and-answer period following.
We are proud and grateful that the Diaper Bank was selected as the organization to receive this quarter's funding! The funds will be used to boost our diaper stocks and is enough to keep the program running for the next 2 to 3 years at our current distribution rate.
Elaine was the champion and founder of this program back in 2022. As of our distribution night in May, we have served 220 unique Shawano County families. This has been a phenomenal program in our community helping keep kids happy and healthy and alleviating a small portion of the stress of parenting! Jade joined our Board of Directors last year and is now the co-chair of the Diaper Bank with Elaine. Thank you both for the work you do in caring for families in our communities and thank you to the women who believed enough in our work to support this program financially!
